CBA Readings for the month of April

For the month of April, CBA has decided to do readings to raise funds for a family in Gaza, celebrate World Autism Acceptance Month and facilitate a discussion on child sexual abuse.

11:00 am - 1:00 pm

What the Kite Saw - to raise funds for a family in Gaza - Aya, a 25 year-old woman and her 2 kids. What the Kite Saw is a story of collective resistance to war. The story will be facilitated by Vani Subramaniam and Rheea Mukherjee.

Why Johnny Doesn’t Flap - NT is OK - to celebrate World Autism Acceptance Month. We read a children’s book that turns the tables on common depictions of neurodivergence. Swara and Devrupa, 2 folx who are on the autism spectrum, will be facilitating this reading bringing their experiences of being on the spectrum.

Some Secrets should never be kept - to facilitate a sensitive discussion on child sexual abuse. The book safely explores the journey of being touched inappropriately and the nuances of safety and unsafety. The reading and discussion is facilitated by Nabonita S Banerjee and Arushi Ralli.
