CBA Readings for the month of September
For the month of September, CBA is reading to celebrate Teacher’s Day, spread awareness on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Month, celebrate the connection we have with ourselves and each other, and host a special fundraiser to support students in an Adivasi School from Kerala.

The Tree in Me - book that celebrates inner strength and resilience. The book also talks about living a meaningful life through our connection to each other. The reading is facilitated by Shweta Srinivasan, a therapist who is also a founder of ‘The Mindclan’ - a community of therapists.

11:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Dot - to celebrate Teacher’s Day. This is a story of how a small act from a teacher can change the life trajectory of a student. The reading is facilitated by Itisha Nagar, someone who might have changed the trajectory of a lot of students in her capacity as a teacher.

Luna’s Red Hat - to spread awareness on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Month. This is a story about the confusion and grief that comes with loss of a loved one to suicide. The books opens up space for healing conversations about grief. The reading is facilitated by Vandita and Jyoti.

My Name is Gulaab - an inspiring story of a young girl who challenges the stigma of manual scavenging with courage, creativity, and hope for change. The book will provoke discussions on entrenched social injustice, discrimination, exclusion, caste system and social change. The reading is facilitated by Aleena. All proceeds from the reading will go towards supporting an Adivasi school in Kerala.
