“While listening, while reading, you may feel angry, you may feel grief, you may want to run away and hide – and that, my reader, is the whole point: to feel… and to stay.”
Reclaiming Space brings together the writing and art of four women from Tana Bana, a community of adult survivors of child sexual abuse. Through poetry, memoir and illustration, they trace what was taken from them as children, what they carried into adulthood, and what they are reclaiming now: their voices, their bodies, their anger, their joy.
This is about voicing what was silenced, and being heard by a community that believes.
