Ghera | घेरा : An Earth Grief Collective
Boooooom. The mountain came crashing down. The river swallowed everything in its path. In its rage. I remember said the river. When I was untamed and wild. Before people came and built their dams. I remember said the river. When in my belly life thrived. Before people came and built their sewers. I remember said the river. I remember giving life to you all.
The earth is calling, the rivers are raging. Do we care enough to hear it? To see it? How can we hold space to hear the cry of the earth. To hear it resonate within our own hearts. What then? How do we hold this immense grief behind this cry?
At a time when there is frequent disasters in the natural world, how can we mourn the loss of what was and reconnect to protect and steward what remains? At Earth Grief Collective let’s journey together to answer these questions, and dive deep into our relationship with earth, river, forest, life.
