Men with feelings | नमी : A gathering for men
About the Group
Nami is a gathering for men, including anyone who identifies and/or has been socialised as a man, a space to arrive as you are, with all that you carry.
Over 4 sessions across 1 month, the circle explores the themes that live in men’s inner and relational lives: identity, belonging, grief, softness, strength and what it means to be truly witnessed. Each gathering draws on children’s books, reflective conversations and other creative modalities as gateways for meaning-making, honest sharing and the slow weaving of community.
The circle is facilitated by Pranav Trivedi, who identifies as a man and brings their own unfolding journey, of making sense of who they are, how they love and where they belong, into the space. They are part of the Children’s Books for All (CBA) community.
This is not a workshop. It is a baithak, sitting together. Come with your questions, your silences and whatever feelings have been waiting for a little space. We invite you to join if you identify as a man in any way - whether cisgender, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, or otherwise connected to the experience of masculinity.
The Facilitator
Pranav Trivedi (they/them) is a social worker and a facilitator who spends their days thinking about care, be it for people, for animals and for the spaces between them. They work with an organization called MenEngage Alliance. They are also one of the founding members of an animal welfare organization called Citizens for Animal Protection Foundation. They love nail paint & mehendi, and are coming to this circle as someone still figuring things out, about identity, relationships and what it means to show up fully.
